The JLLF Chamber of Commerce will be meeting at LaFleur's Restaurant in Jay on September 7th for their monthly breakfast meeting.  The members and guests will gather between 7:00 and 7:20a.m. for networking and a continental breakfast.  Please note the business meeting will begin at 7:20a.m. and will be followed immediately with the program.  The meeting will adjourn at 9:00a.m.

The Program speaker will be Darryl Brown of Cianbro.  He will be providing a power-point presentation on the proposed East-West Highway project that will connect Calais to Coburn Gore. This project will result in greater connectivity to U.S. markets, particularly in the mid-west as well as the larger global markets by providing more direct access to those markets. The power point presentation will take about  twenty minutes with an opportunity for questions to follow.

An additional highlight of the meeting will be a presentation by Member in the Spotlight  Eileen Miazga, Director of RSU 73 Adult Ed.  The office is now located at 13 Community Drive in Jay (under the Jay Middle School Gym).  Adult education in Maine is a statewide system of more than 100 connected learning programs and centers from Kittery to Fort Kent and everywhere in between. Adult education programs offer courses in 5 major categories: Business & Skills Training; College Transitions; GED & High School Completion Courses;  Literacy Courses and  Personal Enrichment Courses.  In any economy, Adult Education courses are great choices because they are local, affordable, and are designed to fit within your schedule.

The Breakfast Sponsor will be Rob Boothby of Boothby's Orchard located at 366 Boothby Road in Livermore.
