Holmes-Crafts Homestead

Located on Jay Hill, Route 4, Jay.

Situated at the top of Jay Hill on Route 4, the Homestead showcases a Federal-style house dating back to 1820, adorned with period furnishings. The Jay Historical Society oversees the property and conducts tours by appointment.

Mark your calendars! Every second Saturday of August, the Homestead holds its annual open house, inviting the public to explore the property's displays.

Music at the Gazebo

Enjoy live music by talented career and local performers on summer evenings at the quaint covered Gazebo overlooking the Androscoggin River in Livermore Falls. Located near the bridge on Rt 4, various musical groups offer free performances from 6 p.m. until dusk. Bring your lawn chair or stay comfortably in your vehicle to listen and enjoy the music.

Jay Fireman's Museum

Located across from the Holmes-Crafts Homestead off Rt. 4, our museum showcases a restored 1936 fire truck crafted by McCann Fire Equipment of Portland, mounted on a Diamond T chassis. Additionally, we house a horse-drawn hand-pumper wagon, a hand-pulled two-wheeled hose cart, and a diverse collection of firefighting artifacts.

The Jay Fire Association manages the museum; viewings are available by appointment. To schedule a visit, please call (207) 897-3953.

Antique & Vintage Snowmobile Museum

Situated on Rt. 4 in North Turner, the museum boasts a collection of over 300 vintage sleds spanning various styles and sizes.

During the winter season, from December through March, the museum is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For viewings at other times, appointments can be arranged by calling (207) 224-8444.

Bigg Game Trophy Room

The trophy room is located on Turner Center Road in Turner and showcases over 100 animals.

Turner Museum and Historical Society

Located in the Leavitt Institute Building on Turner Center Road in Turner, our museum is open on the following days and times:

• Tuesday and Thursday: 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Located on Turner Center Road in Turner, the Natural History Club House is open by appointment only.

Wilton Farm & Home Museum
Located on Canal Street in Wilton, the museum offers a rich collection showcasing the early period of the G.H. Bass Shoe Manufacturing Company. Discover memorabilia from its founder and notable wearers of Bass shoes and boots. Additionally, the museum features an intriguing Sylvia Hardy display and an extensive collection of antique bottles and glassware.

Venture to the lower level to explore antique farm tools and implements and witness a working forge where a local blacksmith practices the craft.

Hours of Operation:
Open to the public on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. during July and August. Tours can also be arranged by appointment.

Red School House Museum
Situated initially on Rt. 4 in Farmington, the historic Red School House, built in 1852, now resides at the Farmington Fairgrounds on High Street. It served as a school until 1958 and has been preserved with original desks, books, and memorabilia.

Nordica Homestead Museum
Situated at 116 Nordica Lane in Farmington, this homestead is the birthplace of Lillian Nordica, America's first international opera diva. The museum houses a collection of memorabilia from her remarkable life and career.

Titcomb House
Situated at 118 Academy Street in Farmington, the Titcomb House is an 1840s Gothic Revival cottage adorned with Titcomb family memorabilia. The collection includes an antique doll collection.
